Japan Value Lunch

Japan's corporate reform story continues. Although progress so far has been most visible among larger companies, smaller businesses are now firmly in scope as governance reforms bring closer scrutiny to excess cash and inefficient balance sheets.

Gerard Cawley, Manager of the Polar Capital Japan Value Fund, will discuss why he remains constructive on Japanese equities and where he believes the next phase of value creation could emerge. He will explore how governance reform, greater capital discipline and an acceleration in domestic M&A could unlock value across the market.

He will also consider the broader forces reshaping corporate Japan, from the return of inflation and real wage growth to AI and the need for greater automation as the workforce shrinks.

Please arrive at 12:30pm for a 12:45pm start.
